Covid-19 remains a challenge to our region, our community, and our schools. The vaccine has made a difference and getting vaccinated is one of the key public health strategies in mitigating the challenges associated with the Covid-19 virus. Although vaccination rates have continued to increase steadily across the region, School District 91 will be partnering with Northern Health to host the Northern Health Vaccination clinics at several school sites.
The Vanderhoof Nechako Valley Secondary School will be hosting a Northern Health Vaccination clinic in the Small Auditorium on October 21st, 2021. The vaccine clinics will be open from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM for SD91 students and interested SD91 staff. The clinic will remain open until 6:00 PM for the public.
Access to the clinic is intended to improve access for SD 91 students and staff that live in rural Vanderhoof and to those that have not been able to access other clinics. Parents that would like to join their child at the clinic are welcome to at any point between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Students that intend to receive either their first or second dose at the October 21st clinic should have a piece of valid ID with them.
