Tonight’s Public Hearing has been POSTPONED
The Province’s recent Ministerial Orders, Dec 2 & 4th, require local governments, including the District of Vanderhoof, to restrict public members from attending Council meetings and public hearings. As the Official Community Plan and the District’s Zoning Bylaws are the main guiding documents for our community and in interest of fair process, the District will be postponing tonight’s public hearing until further notice.

ZONING BYLAW NO. 1230, 2020
The public is hereby notified that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday December 07, 2020 from 4:30pm – 6:30pm in the Municipal Council Chambers located at 160 Connaught Street as the District of Vanderhoof intends to consider new Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw. The proposed District of Vanderhoof Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1229, 2020 is to designate the long-term vision of the District of Vanderhoof. The proposed District of Vanderhoof Zoning Bylaw No. 1230, 2020 is to regulate the use of lands within the District of Vanderhoof municipal boundary.
How to participate:
At the Public Hearing all persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw(s) shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present with a written submission respecting matters contained in the bylaw(s) that are subject to the Public Hearing. All persons attending the Public Hearing in person will be required to adhere to COVID-19 and physical distancing protocols.
Written submissions are to be sent via email to email@example.com; by mail to P.O. Box 900, Vanderhoof, BC, V0J 3A0; or dropped off in person at the municipal office located at 160 Connaught Street during regular business hours no later than 4pm on Monday December 7, 2020 (please use the dropbox located on the outside of the building as the office is currently closed to the public).
Copies of the relevant bylaw(s) are available for viewing at the Municipal Office located at 160 Connaught Street Monday through Friday, during regular business hours and will also be made available online at www.vanderhoof.ca
