Councillor Steve Little

Steve’s great-grandparents arrived in Vanderhoof in 1912. His family remained in Vanderhoof until 1958 and returned in 1960 then moved on again in 1962. Steve was born in 1959. Having graduated from high school in 1977, he returned to school as an adult where he completed the Forestry Technologist program.

Steve has been employed in the forest industry since 1979. Steve moved back to Vanderhoof to stay in 1985, where he went to work for a local Forestry consultant.  He and his wife Jennifer have been married for 19 years, they have four children, 3 boys and 1 girl. Jennifer has been employed as a nurse in Vanderhoof since 1985.

This is Steve’s first adventure into politics. Steve has been actively involved in the community of Vanderhoof holding positions on several executives including stints as President of Vanderhoof Minor Hockey, Minor Softball, Curling Club, and Vanderhoof Rec. ball.  He has also been part of the Touch Wood organization, the Omineca Hockey League executive, and was part of the organizing committee that brought the Peewee provincials to Vanderhoof.
